Six Thinking Hats
I’d be interested to hearing from anyone who has tested the ’six thinking hats’ system in their classroom. Created by Dr Edward de Bono, the basic theory of it is our brain thinks in distinct ways which can be identified and grouped together. Each hat has a different colour, name and purpose. For example, hats include a ‘feelings hat’, a ‘benefits hat’, ‘thinking hat’ etc.
Read more about it on wikipedia here, and see this poster for an overview.

I’d like to hear if you feel it’s made any difference to your classroom, and as a classroom management device.
